What it’s all about
A medical monitor measures and monitors various vital signs such as heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation in the blood and respiratory rate. This data provides doctors and medical staff in inpatient settings with important information about the patient’s health status so that they can then take appropriate action. Such monitors also alert when the measured values are outside the normal range to indicate potential problems. Such a monitor also exists in a figurative sense for practice management.
The monitor function for practice management
The practice management dashboard for outpatient activity, which contains all values of practice management in a best-practice comparison, is comparable to a medical monitor in terms of its functionality and significance.
It enables the determination and evaluation of the relevant performance indicators of the management of a medical practice. It provides a comprehensive overview of the action areas and supports practice owners in measuring and improving the success of their practice via the associated expertise.
The dashboard aggregates and visualises data from different areas of practice management, starting with planning, organisation, leadership, marketing and patient care, and ending with controlling. If critical values exist, they are indicated in colour.
The aim of the tool is to provide practice owners with important insights and information to make informed decisions and continuously improve practice performance. Similar to how a medical monitor helps doctors to take quick and targeted interventions, the dashboard also enables GPs and specialists to eliminate deficits and risk factors, build on strengths, take advantage of opportunities and react to changes or trends in order to make practice work more flexible in line with the environment.
